What is HooperScore?
HooperScore is a free online basketball scoreboard that runs entirely in your browser. Openthe live scoreboard app, name your teams, and you get a game clock, 24-second shot clock, scores, team fouls with Bonus indicators, timeouts, possession arrow and arena horn — in seconds.
It is an online scoreboard, a digital scoreboard, a portable scoreboard and a scoreboard app in one. Put a phone on the scorer's table for a pickup game, plug a laptop into a gym projector for a school tournament, or cast a tablet to a TV for a fullscreen LED-style display.
Why we built it
Physical portable scoreboards cost hundreds of dollars, need batteries and remotes, and still have to be hauled to every game. Wall-mounted gym boards cost thousands plus installation — and when they break mid-tournament, there is no backup.
We built HooperScore so the device already in your pocket is the board. Youth coaches, PE teachers, intramural organizers, referees, parents and streamers all need the same thing: a clear, reliable board that anyone can run without training. HooperScore is that board — free, offline-capable, and fast enough for a dedicated scorekeeper yet simple enough for a volunteer parent.
One board for every rulebook
HooperScore covers NBA, NCAA, WNBA, FIBA and high-school formats with one link:
- NBA: 12-minute quarters, 24s shot clock, 7 timeouts
- NCAA: 20-minute halves, adaptive timeout logic, Bonus / Double-Bonus
- WNBA / FIBA: 10-minute quarters with full shot-clock control
- High school: 8-minute quarters, 5 fouls for bonus, simple timeout tracking
Tournament directors love that the same link can run Court 1 as a college board and Court 2 as a high-school board — just open two tabs with different settings.
Free, private, no account
