1. What HooperScore is

HooperScore ("hooperscore.com") provides a free, browser-based basketball scoreboard app with game clock, shot clock, scoring, fouls, timeouts, possession indicator and sounds. The app is provided for general use at games, practices, tournaments, classes and recreational play. By using the site you agree to these terms.

2. Free use license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use HooperScore for free for any lawful basketball-related purpose — including schools, leagues, tournaments, gyms and streaming overlays. You may project or display the scoreboard publicly at your events.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use HooperScore for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any league or venue rules.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the site.
• Remove or obscure any branding, copyright or legal notices.
• Present HooperScore as an official or certified scoring system where official certification is required — it is a convenience tool, and official calls always belong to referees and league officials.

4. No warranties — use at your own risk

HooperScore is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Clocks and scores depend on your device and browser; always keep a manual backup for official games. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the scoreboard — including a missed buzzer, a lost game state, or a disputed call.

5. Your data stays yours

Game data is stored only in your browser (see ourPrivacy Policy). You are responsible for your device, your display setup, and any content you enter such as team names. Don't enter sensitive personal information into team-name fields shown on public displays.

6. Intellectual property

The HooperScore site, design, text and sounds are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, redistribute or create derivative works from the site except as needed for normal use (e.g. displaying the board at your game or linking to us).

7. Third-party links and displays

HooperScore runs fully client-side with self-hosted fonts and no third-party trackers. If you cast, project, embed or stream the board through third-party hardware or software, their terms apply to that usage.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or modify or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We will post updated terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If you do not agree with the terms, stop using the site. We may block abusive use to protect the service.
